Confirming customer service tech activity in my area
A man claiming to be a Comcast service tech or customer service person just knocked on my door at 7:45 at night on a Saturday to inform me that there have been work crews in the area and he just wanted to make sure that they haven’t disturbed me in anyway, letting me know that there could be a service interruptions. It was very strange. I even told him that it was very weird that he was at my house instead of just sending a text message or email like Xfinity always does if there’s work in the area is there any way that I can confirm this guy is really working for Comcast? Or if there’s activity in my area?

Hello @user_hvb9ua, thanks for reaching out to our Xfinity Community Forum! I completely understand your concern. While it’s possible a technician was performing proactive maintenance on the lines in your area, you were right to be cautious and prioritize your safety. Have you checked for any interruptions in your area?
You can view service interruptions by logging into your Xfinity App, it would automatically be displayed at the top, or you can also check on the status by clicking on https://www.xfinity.com/support/status.
