Complete Recovery Corporation for Equipment Return

I recently terminated my Xfinify service as I will be stay oversea for about half an year, and I did not see any items need to be returned on my Xfinity account after cancelling my service. But I just received an email from Complete Recovery Corporation asking to return a 4k Cable Converter Wifi that I have never used and is probably stored in my storage unit. Please let me know if there a way to resolve this?

Hi there @yuyenc! I hope you are having safe travels and appreciate you letting us know about the equipment return. The 4K box can be a cable box but is a lot of time our Xfinity Flex box. You can include that service for free with your internet package. I will need to take a look at the account, so we can make a plan for this.

Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.

I have the same problem with a streaming box. I called Xfinity not once not twice but 3 times and asked them if they wanted me to return the streaming box that I never used before I cancelled the Internet service and they said they did not want it back. I also asked when I went to the Xfinity store to pick up my new modem and they said I did not need to return it. I currently have Now Internet for my Internet Service.  All of a sudden I get a message from a company called Complete Recovery wanting me to return a box. Is this a scam to try and steal information for illegal purposes.  She did not know the serial number or any other information and contacted me from half way across the United States in a city where I used to live in. It is very suspicious to say the least.  She was asking for personal information she should have already known. Should I report to the POLICE or other LAW ENFORCEMENT!!!! Can you help with this issue!!

user_gw6bcp Good morning! We appreciate you reaching out to our Xfinity Forums Team about your concerns with being contacted to return your TV box. My apologies if it wasn't clear when you switched your account to NOW Internet. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, so we can do better in switching services over. Since you are currently a NOW Internet customer, you can subscribe to NOW TV and use the box if you would like, but it doesn't come complimentry with the service like your other subscription did. If you aren't going to be using the box anymore, we ask that you return it. You can return it to your local Xfinity Service Center, or you can print out a prepaid label from xfinity.com/returns . I hope this clarification helps. Please let me know if there any other questions I may answer for you today.

@XfinityKassie   Ok  So Complete Recovery is a legitimate company. I will return the box to the store since I don't use it anyway. I might subscribe to Now TV in the future. The only reason I had it was to activate Peacock which they used to give you for free. However Peacock is no longer offered for free anymore. Thanks and have a nice Day!
