Complaints about being sent to a store

Has anyone else had an Xfinity agent on the phone to take their issue to a store. I have been going through a ridiculously mess trying to move my service, but one of the worst parts was having an agent on the phone direct me to a store only to have the store say they don't deal with the issue.
