Complaint regarding customer service representative
I would like to file a formal complaint regarding experience I had today with one of your customer service representatives.
During our conversation, the representative repeatedly claimed that I had agreed to a two-year contract and used that as a reason to pressure me into switching to a different, less expensive plan. At no point did I ever agree to a two-year contract. Later, when I visited an Xfinity store, the in-store representative confirmed that there was no such contractual obligation on my account. I truly hope this call was recorded for quality assurance.
Throughout the call, the representative continually disregarded the questions and concerns we were trying to address. Instead of helping resolve the issue with a service that was not working properly, he repeatedly redirected the conversation toward getting us to sign up for a new plan. The interaction felt more focused on making a sale than providing customer support.
I wanted to keep my current plan after speaking with a different representative this morning, who was knowledgeable, respectful, and genuinely helpful. However I have since decided to close my account and find a new service elsewhere. That positive experience this morning made the contrast 3 hours later even more noticeable.
I am submitting this complaint because I believe customers should receive accurate information and honest guidance, not be pressured into making decisions based on false claims about their account. I hope this interaction can be reviewed so that other customers do not have a similar experience.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello user_g7x2pa! I appreciate you coming to our community to make us aware of your recent experience, and know were here for you. Making sure you get the best and most sincere support possible is always our goal, but what you outlined is clearly far from that. We take poor experiences like this seriously, and always relish the chance to collect or report any feedback we can to make our teams better through coaching opportunities or corrective action.
If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the full service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to ensure your feedback gets to the right teams.
