Competitive Plan
I currently priced all the same services I am getting with Xfinity with a competitor to see how my rates compares to the competition. I was really surprised to see how over charged I am paying currently. I tried to work with Customer Service as I am long time customer and enjoy the product. However, I don't think I can justify paying $70 more a month for the same service I can buy individually. I have tried to work with customer service only to be kept on the phone for a ridiculous amount of time while the customer service rep claims to be looking for better offers but never finds anything. Seems to be a strategy to try to ware down the customer and not find a solution. I am going to switch all my services and save money. Customer retention is so important it's a real shame Comcast doesn't give Customer service the tools they need.

Thank you very much for reaching out to our team here. That is definitely not the experience we would like you to have, and I will be happy to check on any options we have for your service from here. Could you send me a direct message with your full name and complete address?

To send a direct message [private message]:
Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

I reached out to JohnG only to find he doesn't have the tools or the ability to retain customers. Comcast has reverted back to their old days of thinking they are the only game in town, with poor customer service and uncompetitive pricing. However consumers have more choices now than ever. Comcast doesn't seem interested in retaining customers.
