comcast/xfinity email

Is it possible to retain a comcast/xfinity email account if comcast/xfinity internet service is terminated?  If yes, what would be the cost for that?

dharbinson, Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. I can certainly understand the importance of retaining your email, as I have a few that I kept myself. You've reached the right place. Our team of experts is dedicated to resolving email concerns such as this over social media. We can help. Yes, it is possible to retain a Comcast/Xfinity email account if the internet service is terminated. There is no cost. Former customers can keep Xfinity Email address as long as they have logged into their account using the Xfinity Email website within 90 days prior to disconnecting service. They will maintain the same email functionality, except for the ability to create new secondary email addresses. Email accounts must be accessed at least once every nine months to remain active. Please feel free to see this link here for more details, and let us know if this helps.

Although you can keep your Comcast.net address, managing it may become problematic if it is no longer connected to an active account, especially since Comcast/Xfinity seems to be having trouble deciding whether or not to continue operating its email systems.

Consider migrating to one of the (often free) independent email only providers like Outlook.com, Gmail.com, Yahoo.com, etc. That way you wouldn't have to change it again regardless of who your Internet provider is or what Comcast/Xfinity does.
