comcast trying to force me into buying cable

So comcast which owns both xfinity and peacock wont let xfinity customers that have peacock through their comcast subscription use a peacock add on instead of adding $65 worth of cable tv. Other third party providers can do the add on but somehow comcast can't... Gee I wonder if it has anything to do with the cable and more expensive internet packages that was constantly being sold to me. I find it hard to believe that comcast can't provide that. Also people kept misleading me about whether or not it could be done.

Thank you for reaching out to us here. I will be happy to answer any questions you have about the Peacock service. You can add peacock to your service without a TV subscription alone or as part of the stream saver package.

I cannot however use the regional sports add on. Even though the instructions on peacock's website show that other third parties can do that.

Okay, is your current Peacock subscription part of your service? You can get Peacock's regional sports add-ons through Xfinity, but it requires you to subscribe to the add-on directly through Peacock, not through your Xfinity bill. The add-ons are available to anyone with a Peacock Premium, Premium Plus, or Select subscription, and they provide access to specific NBC regional sports networks like NBC Sports Bay Area, Boston, California, and Philadelphia.

If you have a Peacock subscription through a third-party service like Amazon or Roku, you'll need to cancel that subscription and switch to direct billing with Peacock before you can add the regional sports network.
