Comcast sends equipment to replace DTAs
Currently, I use three Comcast DTAs.
On 9/12/2025, Comcast sent me an email, telling me that my DTAs would stop working after 10/22/2025. Comcast said that Comcast would be sending to me some new equipment to replace the DTAs.
On 9/25/2025, I received the new equipment.
I received two XiD-P devices. An XiD-P device seems to be very similar in size and purpose to a DTA.
Also, I received a DVR box (model number AX013ANM).
I do not want a DVR. I want to swap the DVR box for a third XiD-P device. So, how do I do that?
Also, why am I being forced to replace my DTAs with new devices? Why are the DTAs being discontinued?
Thanks for any info.

The DTAs are being retired because Comcast is moving all their TV channels to IP based TV. This will free of spectrum for faster Internet speeds.
That's the cliff bites version.
