Comcast Migration to Yahoo has ruined my email

My folders of vital emails are mostly empty. I did each step presented for the migration and based on the alerts that everything would be "same" and listed all items would transfer - I find myself in a desperate disruption of my life. I tried a few Help I saw online - but nothing worked. I've been Comcast aka Xfinity well over 20 years. I can't believe this is happening. Please help! Need CLEAR, EASY, QUICK, AND SUCCESSFUL RETRIEVAL OF MY INFORMATION.

user_63m04f Good morning! Thank you for sharing the trouble you are finding after migrating to the yahoo email platform. I'm sorry to read that your folders are missing and the trouble this is causing. I know that people need the emails that they save for various reasons, I want to help make sure they are moved over for us.
I was able to confirm that your contacts and folders should move in the migration as well, however there are some limitations and folders may be renamed. If the folders met the limitations set for the migration, yahoo would be the best support team to help with the missing folders.

On the link in reply I got - I saw a long list of question links and a QR code and all I wanted was a phone number to a live person and at the top of the reply.  Customer service is a lost art.

First, I despise being presented with "solutions" with a thread of thousands of "community" comments or articles. Tech companies are making billions and they tout themselves as geniuses who don't need to be saddled with "over-regulation."  So we're out here in the wilderness trying to fix something that was created by an action I didn't ask for and didn't want.

That said, I just kept entering differing descriptions online of I had emails missing from September 2025 to mid-October. One informational reply said to call Xfinity CSA (stands for I think something like Comcast Security A-I forget the A).  I explained the problem and they said a lot of mystifying things but had a name for my problem - Split Delivery. They had a name for it and the tech geniuses hadn't built that into the migration?? Well, so, OK.  They said I should call Yahoo and explain that I needed a Case ID number then call Xfinity back and give them that number to open a ticket. They actually gave me a phone number and I got a person.  In process of speaking with the Yahoo agent (after listening to the "greeting" on the call about all the marvelous new Yahoo stuff -really?) I got this agent and explained.  She started to ask me about specifics and I mentioned the year of emails missing.  I couldn't remember the September actual date to give her and I scrolled down again and a link had appeared that about to see older emails and link was All Emails. Hmmmm. I was looking for "newer" emails because I am mid-project and lost some emails from just last week. I had plenty of "older" emails from September and on back.  In this conversation I clicked on that link and a trove of emails started rolling in from before the last one October 13. I described this wonder to the agent - and so I guess it wasn't "Split Delivery" after all. I did find my year of missing emails - but I felt like they were guessing. If I hadn't just been digging around since all this happened on Thursday - and a very stressful 48 hours - I wouldn't have found them yet. I'd be looking for Split Delivery. And when I open an email now, my Inbox list then goes back to that View All so someone decided it was smart to have this one year of emails not live in my Inbox but September 2025 is right there and on further back. What on earth is that all about?

On another note, although I deleted my email account on my phone and installed the new one - I still don't have email on my phone which is an inconvenience but I was most concerned about my missing information. Believe it or not somewhere along my investigation I was told that Yahoo platform didn't recognize the Comcast information that was coming over so Yahoo platform recognizes as a "security threat." Seriously? we are Comcast customers and they should have known we were coming by the millions and don't those geniuses know how to design a sync that at least recognizes Comcast users? I mean, we are a "security threat"?  The yahoo agent I talked to last told me to wait another 24 hours and if Yahoo doesn't recognize my new email account I should call back.

In a way partly all of us are to blame because from the get-go we have gone over like lemmings with all this technology and haven't demanded better. So many of us have used the convenience and the speed to make our lives "better" and we've tolerated all kinds of annoyances along the way.  I am not a big complainer but this was a major disruption and the crazy journey to get to some kind of at least partial solution would be funny had it not been such a nightmare.  Ironically the information on my Comcast page for months (which I ignored until I got a message that I had until October 17 so I went into process October 15) said everything would look and act the same only better.  No comment.

I hope I can get my phone mail tomorrow - but bottom line for me is, I have worked with the public all my life and if I had handled a process so ineptly in any of my careers over a period of days - I'm pretty sure I would have been fired. And any time we were really the cause of a customer problem, we had to fix it actively - not float out a bunch of "community comments" or have stuff online to fish around for or get phone numbers that said to call someone else and on and on.  I have a good life and much to be grateful for but this was a terrible experience. I have paid Comcast for cable, internet and email a lot of money over two decades, on average over $200/mo., as I live in a building they have wired (back when they were very smart and went across the country contracting with multi-family residences) so I'm pretty much stuck with them. I am wondering if they will get a month free or something. I'll at least ask since they initiated this disaster and didn't make sure they went with a process that was going to be expert and smooth. Yet to see how all goes with Yahoo when all said and done.

Finally, one thing I did like about Comcast email was, given that I paid for it, I didn't have a bunch of ads and junk on my email like free emails (I have a gmail for another specific one-focus organization and it has stuff on there I'd rather not be cluttered with) - I see Yahoo already has a bunch of ads on my email,

Well, I will stop my summary but the Xfinity help page reply said to post to help others so here I am. Good luck, everyone.
