COMCAST HAS FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED ME FOR UNRETURNED EQUIPEMENT FOR 16 MONTHS. [Edited]

[Edited: "Inflammatory"]. You guys improperly charged me for 16 months of unreturned equipment, even after investigating my case and verifying that I never had the equipment, you guys refunded me 4 months of the charges equal to $60. 16 months X $15 = $240. You guys still owe me $180. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau, consumer protection bureau, and will make sure every single Xfinity customer is aware of your fraudulent practices and extremely unprofessional supervisors. I've been a Comcast customer since 2000; for 24 years I've been a customer and this is the thanks I get.

The concern is not "Community Center / Guidelines" related. Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Greetings, @user_3runae! Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you were being charged for unreturned equipment for over a year, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Under normal circumstances, we can reverse a maximum of 120 days worth of unreturned equipment fees (4 months), once the equipment has been returned and removed from your account records. Did you try reaching out to someone when the charges first started appearing on your bill 16 months ago, or did you only recently discover the extra charge was being added?

I have never looked at my bill statement in years. I have had my account on autopay for the length of my account because I was under the delusion that Comcast was a trustworthy company and would only charge me for services rendered. I made a huge mistake trusting Comcast. I didn’t know I was being charged until January of this year when I called you guys due to internet speed issues and a representative was kind enough to mention it. If that representative never brought it to my attention I wouldn’t have ever known.

I can see how that would be frustrating, @user_3runae. You mentioned the charge was for equipment you never had. Was a modem sent out that never got delivered, or did you turn in an old modem that never got removed?
