Comcast Email not loading on my IPad - deleted all of my folders and previous messages

I was receiving an error on my Comcast email server on my iPad so I deleted it and redownloaded it and it deleted all of my previous history and folders and none of it will reload. I just spent all day troubleshooting and spoke with Apple and they said it is a Comcast server problem and that it automatically sets the profile up as POP and not IMAP which it what it needs to be do download the previous history. I have been trying to get in contact with Comcast customer service to discuss how to resolve this and can not get in touch with anybody.
