Coax outlet connection
I'm thinking about to register for the Xfinity internet.
I see there are 3 coax outlets at my apartment, one in the livingroom, one in my bedroom, and one in another bedroom
so I want to put the modem in my room, can I do that, or it have to be one of the coax outlet at my apartment.

Hello, thank you for reaching out. I hope you are doing great. I see you are asking about the current outlets, and you wanted some clarity regarding the set up. I see your home has three existing outlets, as you stated, which include the living room, the bedroom, and an additional room.
However, you want your modem to be located in the bedroom. I prefer to have mine in the office, so I understand needing a specific way to access your network. If all three outlets are active, you would be able to use any of the three to connect your modem, including the outlet in the bedroom. There is not one specific outlet you need to use in this case.
Depending on the previous residents or the installation, there may be a chance only one outlet is active. The easiest way to test the outlet would be to install your modem in the best room and retest the connection. If you have an Xfinity Gateway, for example, you would simply disconnect the coax cable and power cord, then move the gateway to the bedroom.
After you plug it back in, the device should slowly come back online. You might see the power come up, but you're offline. You use the Xfinity App to test your connection as well. If you're still offline, I would suggest you circle back here. We'll be able to send signals if needed or work on getting a tech out to activate the outlet you need.
