CM8200

I have an Arris CM8200A that I understand is the equivalent of SB8200.

I've had no issues provisioning this in the past but after a warranty exchange I've been unable to activate.

Is there any XFinity tech knowledgable on this matter that could help activate?

Hey user_95f681! Allow me to try and activate the CM8200A on my end and let's see if we can get it provisioned. Can you direct message us your name and address, please? Make sure you are signed in with your Xfinity credentials.

  1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon
  2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)
  4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!

@XfinityThomasC Before I accept your answer could you confirm Xfinity allows use of CM8200a which is docsis 3.1?  If so up to what speed?

@user_95f681I've checked on  https://comca.st/3gpGdaZ and the CM8200a is not coming up in the search. After going through a filtered list that covers different speeds with DOCSIS 3.1 the only device that comes up is the Arris SB8200 up to 900 Mbps. Let me know if more info is needed.
