closed captioning not available on broadcast channels

This dispute has caused CC to not be available on broadcast channels.

Hello Jic2002 , thank you for reaching out to us regarding the closed captioning not working on your broadcast channels. I'm sorry to read you are having this trouble on those networks. Closed captioning is vital for some of our customers, so it's a big issue if it is missing for anyone. I would love to help out and make sure that we have the captioning fixed. 
Are you using our X1 cable box when watching the channels were the captioning is missing? Is the captioning missing on other networks?

Xfinity troubled shot my problem and they informed me the problem seemed from the Xfinity / Scripps dispute. Scripps has stopped CC on their channels . I have no problem utilizing CC on other channels such as Netflix and You tube

Jic2002 I'm sorry for the impact this is creating for the closed captioning options. Since the missing captioning is on the networks impacted by the expired agreement, how are you viewing those networks? You may need to troubleshoot that device for the missing captioning.

Jic2002 Please forgive my confusion, I am under the impression that you are impacted by the programming changes which are impacting the broadcast networks making those networks unavailable to you through Xfinity. If you are viewing them through Xfinity I must be incorrect. I would be happy to work with you and troubleshoot the missing closed captioning. 
Are you streaming the service through our Xfinity stream app or watching through the X1 cable box? 
Can you please send us a direct message with your name and service address? I would love to help figure this out and make sure that we get the close captioning working again.

Using X1 box. CC working all channels except broadcast channels NBC , CBS , FOX, CW, My TV! ABC unavailable!! Denver Colorado. Spent an hour on telephone with  a xfinity troubleshooter their conclusion was CC unavailable on those above mentioned channels because scripts stopped the CC
