Chat to upgrade Gateway to XB8, success, Lower Bill, Semi Success. Promise of Same Packages and Channels, MISERABLE FAIL.
Last Thursday did a Chat to inquire about Gateway upgrade to XB8. That was no issue and Agent said he could lower my overall bill and keep identyical channels on X1. Gave approval for a 12 month commit and Gateway upgrade.
XB8 arrived Saturday, self install easy, no issues and up and running great. Returned XB7 to xFinity store near me.
Of course I do not have the same premium Channels. Lost Cinemax, Channel 195.
Did a chat today and was told Cinemax was being added back to lineup, see text on phone to approve. I look at text to approve and bill goes up $12.00 I do not approve and caht to agent that price went up $12.00 He replies yes, because Cinemax is a premium channel. He ignored the three times I mentioned that what I got was not what was promised.
He says thay he can save me $15.00 a month by losing my landline number, (Part of my xFinity Package), porting it to a Samsung Cell phone for $40.00 a month. Then I lose my Package discount, have two cell phones, no land line which I need, and still no Cinemax. I Chat back why would I want two cell phones, and he says I can gift it to a loved one.
So, the XB8 portion went great, but them completely misled about the X1 portion. Geez

Hello @jhruder, and thank you for reaching out about your recent repackage not being what was promised. I would be happy to take a look a the account, and see what I can do to help you out with Cinemax! I'll need to review what you had, and what you currently have to see what offer I can provide you.
Can you send us a private message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address?
