Same problem -- no chat icon. I am just giving up and sending my questions/problems via a written letter with my bill.

Greetings, @user_vtav78! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues getting through to someone, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.
You normally will not see the chat icon until you've created a new public post and received a response from one of us, asking you to send a direct message. The post you replied to here is a few months old, so it may no longer be active, but if you can see the chat icon now, please feel free to send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, and we'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
If you are still not seeing the Direct Message (square speech bubble) icon, you may just need to create a brand-new post. See https://comca.st/3kYXwkR for an example. I look forward to hearing from you.
I am an Official Xfinity Employee. Official Employees are from multiple teams within Xfinity: CARE, Product, Leadership. We ask that you post publicly so people with similar questions may benefit from the conversation. Was your question answered? Please, mark a reply as the Accepted Answer.
