Channel Listing Difference
I have Xfinity in the 19607 area. There are two channels listed for the"same" channels and I want someone to tell me what the difference is in the channels and if they are the same thing, why is it necessary to have two different listings? Makes no sense at this point. I will give you an example: Channel 803 and Channel 1003 are both listed as KYWDT. Please explain the difference.

I understand why that would be confusing. In most cases, channels like 803 and 1003 are the same station, with the difference being the broadcast format. Channel 803 is typically the standard listing, while channel 1003 is the HD (High Definition) version of the same channel. That's why both are listed as KYWDT.
Some customers prefer having separate channel numbers because it allows them to choose between SD and HD versions, while others find the duplicate listings unnecessary. If you're using newer X1 equipment, both channel numbers generally provide the same programming, with the higher-numbered channel often being the HD feed.
