Changing Plans Online Costs More.
Why is it that when trying to change my plan through online means costs me more for a plan, than simply starting a new plan?
Let's say my current plan of 1200 Mbps, costs about $100. Why is it that changing my plan to a lower speed offers me the same price, or if I were to make a new account on the same plan it would be about $85?

The concern is not "E-mail" help related. Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_bo1qkg Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. It can depend on what promotions your account is eligible for. I'd be more than happy to take a look and see what offers we have for you. Just send us a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name and address to get started.
To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
