Changing current plan to "Xfinity now" plan

Hello, I am looking for assistance in switching my current Internet plan to an "Xfinity now" plan (100mb for $30/mo) with minimal interruption to my service. I have heard this can be done by scheduling a future cancellation and subscribing to the "now" plan simultaneously. Is this something I can get help with here?

Thanks

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @user_74h15e Thanks for making a post here on Xfinity Forums. What you said is true. We would schedule a cancellation for about 10 days out for you. Then you can go in and order the NOW service at Xfinity.com/NOW . Shipping for the NOW modem will take 3-5 days. Giving you plenty of time to activate before the disconnection of the current account. If that is what you want to do send us a direct message with your full name and the current service address.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
