There are qualifications you need to meet for Internet Essentials, one of which is that you can't have Xfinity internet service for 90 days beforehand.

Our team isn't able to sign customers up for the Internet Essential program, but you can apply on the Internet Essentials Application site! Please note that if you already have Xfinity services, you may not be eligible as one of the qualifications for the program is a customer cannot have had Xfinity Internet within the last 90 days. You can find out more about eligibility and the application process on our support page that discusses applying for Internet Essentials.
