change plan

How do I change my current plan to one of the offers listed on the website?  Do I need to call customer service to cancel my current plan first before getting the new offer?

Hi, xchen13. Thanks for posting! If you cannot complete the change online, it might mean that you aren't eligible for that offer. If you  would like help with going over offers that you are eligible for, please send me a PM with your first and last name.

Why would a customer Not be eligible for a plan?  I was told that when I tried to reduce plan. I have no contract to prevent me from changing.
