Change from Xfinity prepaid to Home Internet without service interruption

Hello,

I have a Xfinity prepaid account currently active, but I want to switch to home internet.

I've read in this forum you first need to disconnect or 'delete' your Xfinity Prepaid account, but I work remotely and I can't be without internet service for a number of days while I get my home internet set up.

Is there any way of doing this without having service interruption?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for creating a post on our Community forums. As someone who also works from home, I certainly understand how critical it is to have a consistent connection. Once we place a new order at the same address it's very common for the old account to be disconnected as you can only have 1 account per address. However, what I would do is set up service after work and pick up the equipment at the Xfinity store since the old equipment will need to be returned. This way you have only a brief interruption of service after work hours. You can return the old equipment and pick up the new equipment all at the same time at the store. This makes it an extremely quick process. To make it even quicker you can set up an appointment online https://www.xfinity.com/local/store-offers by locating the closest store near you.
