Hi there, @user_la67sn I'm sorry to hear that your bank account was compromised. For your account security, we are not able to add your new account number. To add a new bank account to your Xfinity Autopay, you'll need to sign in to your Xfinity account online or through the Xfinity app, navigate to your billing details, and select Payment Methods. From there, you can add a new bank account by selecting Add Payment Method and choosing the New Bank Account option. You'll be prompted to connect to your financial institution using Plaid and confirm your identity. -Richard

@user_vvuj69 - The standard process for adding a new bank account for Xfinity Auto Pay online or through the Xfinity app involves using Plaid for secure verification. However, if you want to avoid using Plaid, here are a few other potential options:

1. Use a Credit/Debit Card:

- If you're comfortable using a credit or debit card instead of a bank account, Xfinity allows you to add those without Plaid verification. You would still enroll it in Auto Pay.

- Note: Using a credit/debit card instead of a bank account may affect your eligibility for our Auto Pay and Paperless Billing discount (see this article for more information).

2. Call Xfinity Customer Support:

- Contact our customer service directly and explain that you need to change your Auto Pay bank account but cannot use the Plaid verification method due to security concerns.

- They may have an alternative internal process to manually accept your routing and account numbers for Auto Pay setup.

- The number is 1-800-XFINITY (1-800-934-6489).

3. Make Manual Payments:

- If you are unable to set up the new bank account for Auto Pay without Plaid, your alternative is to turn off Auto Pay and simply make manual payments each month using your new checking account (or other payment method) online, through the app, or over the phone.

- Note: This will likely result in the loss of any Auto Pay discount as well.

4. Try the Xfinity App (Less Likely to Work Now, But Worth a Try):

- Some older community posts suggested the Xfinity app sometimes allowed changes without forcing Plaid, but current support articles indicate Plaid is now used when adding a new bank account through the app as well. It may be worth attempting, but be prepared for it to ask for Plaid.

The best step to try first is calling Xfinity Customer Support to see if they can manually override the online requirement for Plaid over the phone. And please let us know if this helps!
