In order for you to change the name on your account, a signed affidavit will need to be submitted by both the current and prospective new account holder. This is necessary because account ownership involves financial responsibility for the account. Without a doubt, the easiest way to do this would be for both of you to visit an Xfinity Store together and present proof of ID. Our amazing store associates can provide the forms for both of you to sign, and then submit them for you while you are there.
I understand it is not always possible to make these kinds of arrangements in every situation, so the process can also be handled electronically. It just requires a few more steps, and can take a little longer to complete.
