Can't send or receive email from comcast.net

Can't send or receive emails. Each time it fails (remote server imap central.ge.xfinity.com timing out repeatedly).

I have an issue with e-mail loading. The virtual assistant is not helpful.

I had two older Comcast email addresses. Comcast was going to delete those older email accounts unless I signed in to them. before the deadline to lose them, forever I chose to keep one of the old accounts and logged in to it, tp save it. Now my cburrell22@comcast does not load or loads after a long period of time. I have used Comcast email as my preferred email account.  Also, why do I have to use a gmail.com account as a back up account for 2 step verification? I use the gmail.com account rarely , and only when absolutely necessary when required. I have a watch, phone and home package all purchased from   Xfinity. Why am I having this issue? How can we fix this urgent issue?

Hello user_ae7j97, what email platform are you using when trying to send/receive emails? Are you able to log in to the main Xfinity Email site and use this, or is it not working there as well?

Concast.net  / Xfinity is my preferred account for email. Logging in now is not the same/ Email does not load or loads extremely slow. I believe there is an issue resulting from recently logging into the older comcast email account.

I can't send or receive xfinity emails from desktop or two cell phones. Server settings: POP=993, SMTP=587
