Can’t Cancel Comcast (“Systems are down”)

Hello,

Just curious if this is now the latest gimmick by Comcast to not allow people to cancel. I scheduled a callback a week out as that was the only available time, finally get the call today and they say their system is down, they can’t cancel, reschedule a callback or do anything to assist. Somehow the system wasn’t down enough for them to not call me back though, so that seems like a total made up excuse. Comcast offers no easy way to cancel, and now they’re pulling the excuse they “can’t” cancel it?

Phillipk I appologize you had trouble getting your request completed over the phone, but I can certainly assist you here. Sorry to hear you need to close the account, but we can definately assist with getting the request completed for you. 

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
