Can't activate Diamond reward Peacock premium, says already tied to Peacock account, need current account linkage removed to Activate
Hello, Xfinity Support,
I’m looking for help from a Xfinity support specialist to remove the old Peacock account linkage from the Xfinity and Peacock systems so I can activate Peacock Premium correctly through my current Diamond Xfinity rewards benefit. Please see below for details. Thank you.
A few years ago, when Peacock Premium was offered as a complimentary Xfinity benefit, I signed up and linked it to my Xfinity account. Later, Xfinity stopped offering Peacock Premium as a complimentary benefit and moved it to the rewards program. The transition initially seemed fine, but for some time now, every time I sign in to my Xfinity account it says I need to activate my Peacock Premium subscription.
When I select the Activate Now button and enter my Peacock account information, I receive an error stating that the email address is already linked to a Peacock subscription. My Peacock account shows that it is linked to an Xfinity account, but I cannot see or manage Peacock from my Xfinity account management page.
Based on similar posts in this forum, it appears the previous linkage between my Xfinity account and my Peacock account may need to be removed before I can activate the current Peacock Premium benefit. I have contacted both Xfinity and Peacock customer support, but first-level support on each side has directed me to the other company. I’m hoping a higher-level Xfinity support team can remove or escalate removal of the old linkage so I can activate Peacock Premium correctly.
Full error message: "We were unable to link Peacock to your Xfinity account. You may already have a Peacock subscription and first need to cancel, then allow your account to lapse before trying again. Learn More. If you have questions or need assistance regarding the subscription you have with Xfinity, please contact Xfinity customer care."

Hello user_evmi, and thank you for reaching out! I'm glad to hear you're eligible for the Peacock Premium benefit, so I definitely want you to be able to activate it without any issues 👍 When you receive the message stating your Xfinity account is already tied to another Peacock account when activating the benefit, you are correct in that this is caused by a link from Peacocks end as they recognize an account has already been associated with you previously.
In order to remove this link, you will need to login to the Xfinity account tied to the Peacock service in question at xfinity.com/yoursubscriptions, and if you cannot locate the Xfinity account tied to the Peacock account needing to be unlinked, you can contact Peacock support directly for their assistance to unlink. Since the link is from their side, we are not at liberty to unlink it ourselves, but once removed, you should be able to move forward with activating the benefit normally 👍
