Cannot set up comcast email on new iPhone SE
My wife just purchased a new iPhone SE and we have been unable to add Comcast email to the phone. Getting the error message IMAP server doesn't support password authentication. I have tried to match the settings to how my email is set up on my iPad but have been unsuccessful. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It’s a simple fix that Comcast doesn’t tell anyone. Log into your Xfinity account and go to mail. Once mail has opened you will see a gear in the upper right of the mail window, select email settings. In the settings window select Security and you should have two check boxes w/ paragraphs Mail and Third Party Access both boxes should be checked especially the Third Party Access because that allows you to use Apple Mail. Hope this helps, because Comcast makes no mention of this in their email setup instructions. If you follow XfiniyKorie’s advice you will have the same because they don’t tell to fix the problem in Xfinity Connect like I described above.
