Cannot post or reply with computer, only phone

I can only use my phone to post or reply here. I've seen many others post the same and the issues have all been CLOSED. But the problem remains.

Clearing the cache etc does nothing.

A while back someone posted that you had a code problem and were fixing it

When will that occur?

If that is on a list of bugs is there a fix date?

I can only use my phone to post or reply here. ... A while back someone posted that you had a code problem ...

AFAICT, Comcast has never said that.

When I had this problem, if I was not already signed in to www.xfinity.com when I clicked SIGN IN on forums.xfinity.com, it appeared to work, but left comment/reply/new topic editor text entry fields "locked", and it loaded some sort of junk into the browser so that, if I then sign in to www.xfinity.com, forum text entry is still messed up.

To clear the problem I had to do these steps in this order in each browser I use in the forums:

  1. sign out of the Forums (profile icon, "SIGN OUT")
  2. sign out of Xfinity (user icon, "Sign out")
  3. close all Forum and Xfinity windows/tabs
  4. delete cache
  5. delete all Sprinklr, Comcast, and Xfinity cookies
  6. close the browser, wait a moment, then reopen it
  7. sign in to https://www.xfinity.com/
  8. sign in to https://forums.xfinity.com/

Since doing that I always make sure I'm logged in to www.xfinity.com before logging in to the forums. I haven't had a problem with "locked out" text entry fields since.

Yes there are multiple posts about this bug over a long period of time

Different responses have been given. Those "fixes" are short-lived

Thanks for offering an idea.

Now Xfinity if this is a Customer Service forum, your customers must be able to post on it. Otherwise what is the point in the forum?

@CashierJudy  Were you able to try the steps mentioned by Bruce? As our entire team works on the forums using computers. As again mentioned have you tried switching to a new browser to try as well? Which browser are you using?

CHROME. Yes tried Edge. Same experience.

Yes I did try the work around.

Didn't work for me.

When I attempt to reply or comment that box disappears and I can't write anything. Again I am using my phone for this response.

More of a work-around than a "fix" really, since Comcast and Sprinklr seem to have no interest in fixing the Forum sign-in bug. All I can tell you is that since I followed those steps several months ago and have been careful to log in to Xfinity.com before signing in to the Forums since then, the problem has not recurred. YMMV.

Just some interesting information from microsoft.com:

The new Microsoft Edge (Chromium) is built on the same underlying technology as Google Chrome, offering world class performance and compatibility with your favorite websites and extensions. It's simple to manage, equipped with security and privacy controls, and features productivity and accessibility tools for the classroom, such as Immersive Reader.
