Cannot cancel service

I'm trying to cancel my Xfinity service.  The bot can't help.  I am outside the country.  The instructions to DM Xfinity Support make no sense -- like many others, I cannot see the DM icon referred to in all the posts on this forum.

Hello @user_9uvcj5 We can certainly help you through this platform but need you to get to direct messaging to do so. The steps to get there are 

 

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support: 
Click "Sign In" if necessary 
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon 
Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon 
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there 
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list 
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line 
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 
Press Enter to send it. 

 

The direct messaging icon is the "text speech bubble" looking icon in the top right of the forums page to the left of the notifications bell icon.
