Candian - COVID-19

My wife and I are unable to travel to Florida due to COVID-19 and we are close to 80 years old. I am not understanding why Comcast will not assist us with our seasonal extension. If we close our account you are still going to charge us for equipment that we can not return. I hope you are going to work with Canadian customers. Please advise.
