Cancelling Service

I spoke to a representative about cancelling service.  How do I verify this to ensure I do not get a bill.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_mamh00 Did you receive a confirmation email showing that an order was placed or completed?

I did get an e mail saying my order is confirmed and it has a $101 credit. I also have a bill for $90 for Sept. 7. I canceled sevice on Aug 25.

The September statement may have already been posted, but you should be good to go since you've received the confirmation email for the disconnect order.

I am still concerned that on Sept 7 a payment will be taken out of my checking account - Is there a way to confirm?

user_mamh00 Yes! I can look for you. When you get a moment, please send a Direct Message with your name, and service address.

Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
