cancelling service?

I moved out of my apartment months ago and was told that I would no longer be charged for internet as the account and equipment was transferred to one of my roommates, but I am still being charged. Every time I have tried to cancel or remove my information I've been unable to contact anyone. I would like a refund for the past 2 months as I have not been living at the address at all. Frankly I find it unprofessional how difficult it is to get ahold of anyone without making public posts begging for assistance. Thank you ahead of time.

user_e6dkuh Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I understand that you have been trying to remove your information from an account that you transferred to one of your roommates. I'm happy to look into this and see how we can help you with your request. To get started please send us a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name and address.

To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
