Cancelled my internet and still been getting charged for a year.

A year ago I switched my internet to a new address, but there was a mistake so I had to go to a store and get it sorted.  I unknowingly have been getting charged for the internet still for a year (since August 2024) on my credit card, despite the fact that my current internet is billed through my bank account.  This was clearly a mistake on the end of Xfinity, as I can't even access the account that is being billed.  Has this happened to anyone, and have they been able to get a refund?  It's absolutely ridiculous that their mistake has cost me so much money.

Hello @Crogo123 Sorry to hear that old account stayed active through the transfer process. We would be happy to check into both accounts and see what we can do about backdating the old service. Please send us a direct message with your full name and both old and new service addresses.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
