Cancel service
I have been trying to cancel my account and spending hours over the phone, but still the service is not cancelled. I have already received confirmation of the cancelation, but still have services at home. So, this is not letting me connect to other provider. I am not going to pay for cancelled services, but I do not understand why the service is not disconnected. Is this trying to keep costumers even when we want to be let go? I am sure this is uncompetitive practice to avoid switching other providers, and this can be a case for the competition authority to watch and sanction. Please improve your cancelation services, and ensure we can decide on our homes!

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @user_o520n0, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear about your experience trying to disconnect your services. I can certainly understand how frustrating and time-consuming it must be to spend hours attempting to disconnect your account, receive confirmation that the disconnect was processed, and then still see active service at your home. If a disconnect order was submitted, there can occasionally be situations where the order has not fully completed in the system. While the services may remain active during the finalization process, you will only be billed through your requested disconnect date. Once the disconnect order is finalized, the account is adjusted so that billing reflects the effective disconnect date rather than the date the order completes. We certainly do not want you to feel as though you are being prevented from making changes to your services, and we would be happy to review the account to ensure the disconnect request was processed correctly.
For your privacy and the security of your account, if you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, we'd be more than happy to look into this for you. Thank you, @EG
