If you are planning to keep your mobile number, all you need to do is have it ported out to a different carrier. Once your number has been ported out, your line will immediately be canceled. If you have more than one mobile line active, the other lines will continue on, but if all lines are ported out, your account will be canceled, and your billing will be prorated, based on where you are in your billing cycle.
