Can you self install a new install (cable, phone, internet) after having Verizon changing outside wires/cables?

We've had Xfinity/Comcast for years in our home, we switched to Verizon for a short time, they changed a few cables. Do I need a tech to do a full in home install because of the new Verizon cords/cables?  I think they changed to a different cable in the small box off our first floor window outside?  6 foot cable from the box to inside our living room.   Are all cables the same no matter the company?

I have no issues starting my own modem or plugging a DVR box in, I am concerned with the different cables they changed in the beginning.   If I do need a tech to install, is that included in the price or is there a fee for that?     Thanks for any help just getting prepared to start the switch over the next 2 weeks.

MomsTaxi23 The outside cables are specific to the provider. If they swapped around some outside that lead to the outlets inside the home, you would likely need a professional install to get them swapped over to our main line on the outside to feed into the outlets through the home. There is an install fee of $100 unless you see an offer running a special with free install.

Thank  you for the clarification. It was just a short cable but I knew they switched something.    I will look for some possible offers in the next 10 days before I go online to order and schedule an install. Thanks.
