Can I Use My Current Gateway If I Upgrade Internet?

Hi there, I am looking to upgrade my internet from 100 mbps to 200 mbps.  Despite the upgrade, my internet would still be on the slower side compared to most people.  I already rent an xFi wireless gateway (TG1682G, capable of reaching 600 mbps), but when I go to checkout for my upgrade, it says I need to change to a newer xFi Gateway.  This doesn't sound right as my current gateway should be able to handle 200 mbps.  Is this correct, or do I need to make the change?  I'd prefer to keep my current gateway if possible.

Thank you.
