Can I keep service at my old place while moving into new place
Hi! I am moving to a new apartment tomorrow but need internet at my current spot until 10/24.
1. How do I transfer service in general? Is it as simple as plugging the box into my new place?
2. Is it possible to use my wifi service in 2 places at once, with some kind of hotspot feature or something similar?

We actually try to make our move/transfer process smooth and easy for our customers. That way customers can seamlessly transfer service to their new home. You can do so through your Xfinity online account. Please follow this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/onlinemoves, for step-by-step instructions on how to do so. In answer to your other question, you can absolutely have services overlap at both addresses.
