Can I have two addresses in one account while moving?

Hi, I am currently in a contract for internet service with xfinity that expires next year. We are moving in a month or so and I'd like to start a new service in my new home (near our current home) while we keep the current internet service for a while (until we sell the house). Is it possible to do so? Any cancellation fee if I terminate my current service before the contract ends?

Hi there, @user_be6597

You have great questions! I'll be happy to help. First, congrats on your new home! That's super exciting that it's close to your current home, too! The best answer to your first question is that you may have two separate accounts, one for each address, under your name. We have many customers with multiple homes, so this is very common. Have you checked to make sure your new home is within the Comcast service area? You can check this by searching your new address here: https://www.xfinity.com/learn. Make sure you do not log in to begin your search and choose the option for "Shop Xfinity Services".

It's also important to know that services at your new address can only begin in your name after the previous homeowner has disconnected or moved their account to a new address.

To your question about termination fees: If you are currently in a service agreement and disconnect all services before the end of the term, you would be subject to the remaining termination fee (this is $10 per month remaining in the term). For a more in-depth answer, I will need to take a look at your account. Or, you can view your agreement yourself by visiting "Legal Agreements and Contract" under the 'Settings' tab in your Xfinity My Account.

@XfinityElizabethA Thank you so much, Elizabeth! This greatly helps! I did review the contract again and see that: If cancellation is due to move and xfinity service is reconnected, the early termination fee will be waived or credited. For my situation, I will be keeping two services at the same time for a while then cancel the one at my old home. Will this policy apply? Thanks, appreciate it!

@user_be6597, yes that is correct. Once the old account is disconnected, and the new account remains those early termination fees will be waived for you.
