Can I have a friend exchange/pick up my new equipment?

Question: I upgraded my Xfinity service from Flex to X1 and need to return my old equipment and pick up my new equipment.  The issue I have is, I can’t get to my local Xfinity store before they close. Would my friend be allowed to exchange  my equipment on my behalf? Of course I would provide her with my account information so the reps would know what account to apply the return, etc. Any help you can provide would be great! Thanks
