Can I get a meaningful update?

My internet has been out for over 13 hours and the only update I get is ... "We are working on it" which means absolutely nothing.  Is there anyway to get an actual update on progress or what the problem is or when it may be fixed.  The status page is useless. I am getting frustrated.
