cable that will be buried

We had a comcast tech come out today and he found out that our cable had been cut.  He put in a request to have the cable buried.  We just got some expensive landscaping done with a fabric on the ground to prevent weeds from coming through.

We are afriad when they come to bury the cable, they will cut through the fabric and weeds could get through faster.  Plus we paid extra for the lining and don't want it to be damanged.  The alternatives as we see it are:

Would like to know what the options are so that the landscaping work isn't damanged by burying the cable, and how to make sure whoever comes out to do the work follows through with any instructions on the dig order.  Would also like to know if we can view the status of the dig order online so we can have an idea when they might be coming out.

Good afternoon @user_vx2nd3. Unfortunately, there is no way for you to check the status on a drop burial job online. Those kinds of jobs are completed without a standard date/time frame. If there is a work order currently open, we can update the notes about your lining. When you have a moment, send us a direct (private) message with your full name and address.

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
