Cable replacement
I just had my lawn aerated and the machine cut the Xfinity cable coming into the house. This has happened once before.
After having the cable replaced, the crew came out this morning to bury the cable. I went out to see what they had done and I am surprised to see that the cable is not more than one inch below the lawn surface. In some places, it's actually visible (less than one inch below.)
I don't think you could call this buried cable -- and now I understand why the aerator was able to cut it.

Thanks for reaching out about this, we definitely want to take another look at the connection to your home and make sure it is set up correctly. To get our local team out and look at that line to see if it can be buried a bit deeper or at least take care of the part that is exposed we need to submit a ticket. To get started, please send me a Peer to peer message with your full name and address.
To send a "Peer to peer" message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
