Cable not properly installed

Hypothetical situation.. Let’s say somebody had a house burn down then rebuilt that home. During this fire the Xfinity line was not damaged but did come down from the roof where it was attached. In their new home they have Xfinity cable and it works fine, but the cable comes off the telephone pole and just lays in the yard. Would Xfinity charge to run this cable properly?

Hi there @user_k673x9. Since the line itself is Xfinity equipment leading to your home, we generally handle 'drop line' repairs or safety-related adjustments at no cost to you. If the technician needs to perform a full professional installation or internal wiring reconfiguration inside the new home, a standard $100 installation fee might apply.
