Cable needs buried. Been almost 4 months now.
I am going to try these forums to see if this will help. I have called Comcast 3-4 times trying to get a cable buried.
There is a orange cable the goes across my driveway and neighbors driveway that needs buried. We had another neighbor move in to the house on the other side of me in July and got Comcast service. The installer ran the cable across my sidewalk, driveway, neighbors sidewalk, and driveway and goes into a green pedestal box that is two doors down from the neighbors house that got service in July. They have a green pedestal in front of there house but ran it two houses down? When it rains, this cable gets pushed out in to the street and gets ran over until I go out and pick this cable up and put it on the curb. This cable was hit by someones lawn mower two weeks ago and cut in half. We were without service for 4 days until Comcast came and patched the cable.
Comcast will send a tech out to look at it and just says it's not his department to bury the cable. The gas or city came out and spray painted markers a month and half ago but this has since faded away. The last tech I spoke with said maintenance will need to come. HOW DO I GET MAINTENACE TO COME? I call and they just send someone that can bury the drop, but the drop is buried and we need the cable spanning two homes buried.
If this doesn't get handled, I am canceling Comcast and going with someone else. I have been patient enough since July about this.
Comcast please help!

Update: Cable still not buried since I made this forum post 9 days ago. Cable has been like this since July Someone came out last week and took the top off the green pedestal box last week and marked underground lines with paint again but that has been it. The pedestal top had not been removed until last week. Underground lines were marked once before in August and nothing happened then. Can you please check on the status of burying this cable.

Update: Cable has been buried but was still exposed around the pedestal. I put dirt over the remaining exposed cable. Thank you for finally getting the ball rolling on this to get the cable buried.
