cable box caught fire

I discontinued my comcast internet service in Dec, 2019 but Comcast did not remove their cable box, which ended up catching fire a few days back. Who do I contact to get the comcast cable box removed and the damage repaired?

To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it

@XfinityCassandra​ Thanks a ton Cassandra. I was able to call the customer support and get a trouble ticket created. They told me that a technical representative will contact me by tomorrow and figure out plan to remove the cable box.

Just wondering why you didn't return the box yourself.  You usually have 10 days after discontinuing a service to return the equipment without penalty [charges].  Have you checked to see if you are in collections for the unreturned equipment?

Thanks a ton for all the help... I had an insurance agent assigned to my case and was able to get the damage fixed.
