Building a new house on a road that has Xfinity service

We are building a new home on a road that has Xfinity service already. The house will be about 700 ft from the road (telephone pole) - Power company is having us put in conduit from the pole to the house location, one conduit for power and one conduit for cable service. How do we get started with Xfinity to get cable pulled into the conduit and connected to service?

@user_9a3adf congratulations on the new home, before we could see about serving your new home, your home would first need to be registered with USPS, and as long as the conduit is in place the tech installing service should be able to feed the line through conduit to connect. Has your house been updated with USPS yet?

@XfinityOrlandoM  - We are just starting construction and haven't registered the address with USPS (as far as I know). We are preparing to trench and install conduit for both Electrical and Cable in about a month. Vermont Electric needs to inspect the conduit install before we backfill the trench, does Xfinity need to also inspect the cable conduit before we backfill?

The conduit length for the cable will be about 700 ft., will that present any challenges to the tech when we are ready to turn on service? I have asked the company installing the conduit to put a pull line in the conduit. Is there anything eles we need to do as we install the Xfinity conduit?

@user_9a3adf we can't advise of the exact process and steps that our techs would need to take in order to research/construct the service to your new home. We would need to first submit a serviceability ticket to determine the next steps. From there, if we're able to service the address, our construction team would determine next steps and start the process of obtaining any necessary permits.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Let me make a suggestion to you because this is something I did when I built my house.  I made sure that cable connections were put in in each room that I might need cable and showed where I would like those placed.  Believe me, it will be much easier at the time you move in.

@Again Great advice. I did that when I built our first house years ago. While I was doing the electrical I also pulled in coax to each room as well as Cat 5 and telco to each jack. Will do the same (except telco) in this house. but will probably be Cat 6A as well as cable.
