Block or Report an Inappropriate Wi-Fi Network Name

I’ve recently noticed a Wi-Fi network in my neighborhood with the name “Pornmansion”. We live in a neighborhood with many young children, including my own, and I’m concerned about them being exposed to this simply by seeing available networks.

Is there a way to block this specific network from appearing on my devices or report it for review? Alternatively, do you have any tools or suggestions to help address this issue? I want to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for my family.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thank you for connecting with us here in our community about the inappropriate Wi-Fi network names in your neighborhood, @user_87ikzy. We know this may cause some frustration, and we are with you on this. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to block this from appearing on your devices.

That’s absolutely horrible. Do you have any policy that limit the names that can be used? For example can people use racial slurs and your system allows it through? What are your policies on naming of wifi-networks?

I was advised. that there is nothing Xfinity can do. I followed up to ask if they have any policies on naming of wifi-networks.

@user_87ikzy While we do understand your concerns, and we are with you on this, but there is no way for us to know if we service the Wi-Fi network. We would recommend in looking for other options to go about addressing this concern.
