Blacklist

I think my device is blacklisted but I neither purchased it from Xfinity nor do I have a balance with Xfinity mobile. My current provider does not have it blacklisted and it wasn’t blacklisted when I bought it.

Thanks for posting on our community forums, user_e6j5w2. I appreciate the additional details. When you mention the device is "blacklisted," could you tell us a little more about what you're seeing?

Are you receiving a specific error message when trying to activate or use the device?

Which carrier or service is indicating that the device may be blacklisted?

Is the device currently active and working with your existing provider?

Have you checked the device IMEI with any blacklist-checking service, and if so, what were the results?

The more details you can provide about what's happening, the better we can understand the issue and point you in the right direction.

My current provider says it’s not blacklisted with them but it is on a blacklist. I have been trying to use my phone all week and my service gets cut off because of it. I bought it from Amazon back in March of this year, I checked with the seller and they say it wasn’t blacklisted when they sold it to me. I did have Xfinity mobile for less than a month before I switched to my current provider. My only other option would be Xfinity blacklisting my phone .

The check service I used says it’s blacklisted with Verizon. I guess my next step is to verify with them?

user_e6j5w2. Yes. If it says it's blacklisted with Verizon, you'd have to check with them.
